Community and well-being are life values for me, and at Fieldstone Law (formerly Frederikse Law), they’re at the forefront of everything we do. I recognize that a key aspect of my role is fostering an environment where clients feel engaged and well-supported during significant life events. It’s inspiring to provide people with the opportunity to receive the best support when it matters most, and I’m constantly exploring ways to redefine business in a way that benefits everyone.
My 25+ years of legal experience, including 14 years on Bay Street in Toronto helped me build a team that can serve my community and beyond in meaningful ways. We offer practical, thoughtful and cost-effective solutions in real estate, business law, and wills and estates.
I hold degrees in common law and civil law from McGill University, and after my undergraduate studies at Brock University, I began my career in commercial litigation. I understand the risks of poorly drafted agreements and work closely with clients to help them make informed decisions that feel right for them.
Community work is at the heart of what I do. I’ve served on the Board of Directors for Nelson Youth Centres and currently serve on the Board of ROCK (Reach Out Centre for Kids). I also chaired the Women in Leadership Committee at the Burlington Chamber of Commerce and was a board member of Food4Kids Halton. In addition, I am a member of various legal associations.
My most important role, however, is as a mother to my three amazing boys. I strive to be a role model for them, teaching the values of respect, empathy and responsibility. Through my involvement in their lives as scout leader and hockey coach, I aim to show them the importance of dedication, teamwork and giving back to the community. Watching them grow into compassionate and thoughtful community members who will make a positive impact on the world is my greatest source of pride and fulfillment.

Community is at the heart of everything I do, and I treat my clients with the same care, dedication, and value as I would family. I’ve worked hard to earn their trust and confidence, offering customized solutions that truly make a difference. I use my expertise to guide them through significant life events, educating them, minimizing risk, and delivering peace of mind.
Before joining Fieldstone Law in 2018, I practiced law downtown for about 15 years. Throughout my career, I have sought meaningful roles that serve the community, acting as a director for organizations in the arts, business, education, and philanthropy.
I began my career at a national firm on Bay Street before taking a six-year hiatus to become a small business owner. This experience gave me invaluable insight into the rewards and challenges of entrepreneurship, which I now apply to my legal practice.
I’ve provided business law solutions to companies of all sizes, including national and multinational corporations handling complex financial transactions. However, my primary focus has always been on small and medium-sized owner-operated businesses, who I continue to serve as I transition into retirement.

I am dedicated to building lasting relationships founded on trust, personalized advice, and a deep commitment to serving my clients’ best interests. I recognize that a key part of what I do is providing my clients with confidence and peace of mind, and that our tailored solutions will empower them to live their best lives.
Born and raised in Buckinghamshire, England, I moved to Exeter for my undergraduate studies, completing a dual law degree—earning a British LLB in Exeter and a Maîtrise en Droit Européen in Rennes, France—before pursuing a Master’s in International Law, Conflict, and Security.
After falling in love with Canada during five summers working for Ontario Camping Ministries in Huntsville, I emigrated in 2020. I completed the National Committee on Accreditation’s challenge exams for foreign-trained law graduates during the COVID-19 pandemic and now happily reside in Hamilton, Ontario.
A passionate traveller and musician, my interests align with my role as a ’civilian associate’ member of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry Band, and I look forward to representing both my home and adoptive countries in public performances.

Every day, Aries fosters a strong sense of community, making Fieldstone Law feel like a home away from home for our clients.
He joined the team in 2019 as our official greeter and quickly captured everyone’s hearts! As an American Bulldog/Great Dane mix rescued from the Lakeshore Humane Society after a very rough start, Aries knows how to treat everyone with warmth and kindness. He’s always ready to welcome guests and guide them to the boardroom—unless he's enjoying his afternoon nap (snoring included).
